Bhalla munro is founded by Amanda Bhalla wilkes and Fiona Mackay.

With THE DESIRE to elevate daily life through art, bhalla munro guides clients in building collections that are purposeful and personal.

Amanda is a curator and advisor specialized in building private art collections. With experience working in galleries, Christie’s auction house and independently, her expertise ranges from 19th Century to Contemporary art. Her deep knowledge of emerging and established artists and trusted relationships with the dealers who support them has been developed over 20 years in the industry. In addition to her work as a dealer and advisor, Amanda has collaborated closely with painter and muralist José Parlá on a number of site-specific installations, including Parlá’s groundbreaking mural in the lobby of One World Trade Center.

Through research, exhibition viewings, travel to art fairs and studio visits, we bring an informed and tailored approach to every project. Moving fluidly between working with established galleries and emerging artist platforms, we consider the dual responsibility of art custodianship and supporting new talent vital to what we do.

Formerly an arts and culture writer at The New York Times and LVMH-owned Nowness, Fiona followed an MBA degree at Columbia University with a focus on the business of contemporary art and collectible design, joining forces with Amanda to form Bhalla Munro in 2022. With a special interest in collaborating with professionals in the built environment - architects, developers and interior designers - Fiona’s perspective is driven by an innate awareness of what resonates aesthetically, socially and culturally, combined with an informed view of art market dynamics.
